Our Story

My name is Valya, and I am one of the founders of the Global-Digital Healthcaremarketing Agency. I am a dentist, prosthodontist and oral care educator (www.healthyteeth.info).


Years ago, I took one of the required CE courses in dentistry.  It was about dental business management and digital marketing. It was an impressive course, and the lecturer explained what role digital marketing plays in today's dental practice management. His words stuck with me: "Your clinic's door is now your website, and your clinic's address is your website address”. The suggestion he made at the end of the course was that "If you can find the time, consider taking a digital marketing course. It will transform your perspective as a leader and business manager." I must admit, his foresight and advice proved to be accurate.


The pandemic provided me with some free time, so I decided to enroll in a Digital Media Marketing program at George Brown College in Toronto, Canada. The experience was truly remarkable as it offered hands-on training and covered a wide range of subjects, including Fundamentals of Marketing, Business Communication, Social Media Marketing, Digital Advertising, Content Marketing, Data Analytics, Owned Media Marketing, and Strategic Marketing. I must confess that the program was challenging, especially for a dentist, who had no prior background in business or marketing.


Having knowledge and training in marketing has changed my view of dental practice management in many ways. I became aware of the mistakes we dentists make as business managers.


We believe that we can be managers, marketers, educators,  and practicing dentists at the same time. Because we are highly educated, we think business management and marketing are so simple that we should not hire someone else to do the obvious things. Usually, we would assign a staff member to find some free time to update the clinic's website. Or we would instruct our staff members to take photos of our clinic or our work and share them on Instagram. The approach is neither professional nor serious. Do you think TD or Nike would approach marketing the same way?


You are correct, reputable companies who care about their businesses take their marketing strategies seriously and recognize that marketing is a critical component of their success. These companies employ professional marketing teams and often work with external marketing agencies or professionals who specialize in specific areas of marketing to ensure they are utilizing the best strategies and tactics available.


it's important to keep in mind that marketing is a multifaceted discipline that extends beyond just taking photos or updating a website. It, just like dentistry, requires special training, expertise, and dedication. 


Recognizing the significance of marketing in healthcare, particularly in dentistry, I founded a digital marketing agency focused on serving healthcare professionals. Our agency specializes in dental marketing and understands the unique challenges and opportunities within the dental industry. We strive to provide healthcare marketing services with professionalism and care.
